We’ve seen a lot of bands come and go out of Motown but very few succeed. One of those lucky acts is What Happened In Vegas: an unsigned, do-it-yourself five star act. They got their start in Warren, Michigan which is just outside of Detroit. Going strong for about four years, they’ve done their fair share of touring with bands such as Set It Off, This Condition and Rookie Of The Year. They have also played in their home state with Never Shout Never, Cartel, Warped Tour twice, and even two other talented Michigan band’s The Audition and Every Avenue.
They’re no strangers to the recording studio. What Happened In Vegas have a large variety of songs available on iTunes. They’ve even had helping hand from Casey Bates (Pierce The Veil, This Providence, Gatsby’s American Dream, Forgive Durden) on their EP ‘The Anatomy of a Boy’s Mind’, which was recorded in fall of 2009. Thomas Dutton also did guest vocals. The band have also been working hard on a full length album this past year. If you add to the over 46 thousand likes on Facebook and comment on their page, you can get a free copy of the EP.
If you happen to be from Michigan, you can catch the boys play at Action Item’s show in October at the iLounge. They will also be touring with New County and This Love starting October 13th in Covington, Kentucky.
